Hola, me llamo Ainhoa y soy del norte de España  

I am currently living in England and I work in a secondary school teaching Spanish to KS4 and Sixth Form students to prepare them for their GCSE and A level exams. I have also taught Spanish privately not only to prepare students for their exams, I have also taught general Spanish, from beginners to advanced students. 

I love teaching 1:1 or in small groups as I get to see the progress of my students faster. I love using teachnology to create resources and my aim is to make the lessons as dynamic as possible that is why I love teaching online.  

I discovered my love for teaching languages three years ago and right now my career is focus on that. Looking forward to teach you Spanish making lessons totally personalised. 

About Me

I am a qualified teacher with seven years of experience teaching, three of those are teaching Spanish. In my last year of my degree I specialised in Special Educational Needs and Diversity in Education as I wanted to be able to reach all of my students. During the past three years I have focus my teaching on small groups or 1:1 and I have really enjoyed it.

Working as a Teaching Assistant made me realised how much I enjoyed working with small groups as I got to know them well and their progress was more evident and it was easier to target what they needed. The school gave me the opportunity to lead a Spanish after school club.I taught Spanish to KS2 for one year and that is when I realised I wanted to carry on teaching languages. 

I am currently working in Secondary school teaching Spanish to Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 which has given me the opportunity to gain more experience teaching Spanish and also the opportunity to become an expert on the GCSE and A level exams.

In the past I had beginners students and  I created lots of resources to learn basic Spanish. About online lessons, during lockdown all of my lesson were online and I have developed a great interested and understanding of online platforms such as teams, google classroom, Power Point and OneNote.
