Hi! I'm a friendly, approachable maths and science tutor with a first class degree in pharmacy from UCL.
Hello! I'm a friendly, approachable 1st class pharmacy graduate from UCL and currently work as a medical writer in the pharmaceutical industry, whilst tutoring in my spare time.
I've achieved A*-A grades at GCSE and AS/A levels in maths, biology chemistry, and physics. I'd love to share my knowledge and passion for these subjects and tutoring is an ideal way for me to pursue this.
I have taught maths and English to students aged 5-14 years and have tutored GCSE maths and science to students in after school clubs as well as privately. In addition to this, I have also assisted students with the science and maths components of entrance exam preparation.
Whilst I was at university, I took part in the Teach First leadership development programme, where I picked up various teaching techniques to suit a wide range of learners. I also worked as a teaching assistant during this programme, where I successfully planned and taught a science lesson to year 5 class.
I can tutor students up to GCSE level in maths, biology chemistry and physics (including double and triple science courses). I can also provide tuition for the maths and science component of entrance exams if desired.
My lessons will take place online via a suitable video platform such as Skype or Zoom (we can discuss your preference) and all resources used during lessons will be made available to the student after the lesson is complete.
I am familiar with the curriculum and specifications for several exam boards and am happy to tailor lessons according to the specific requirements of the student. I aim to explain complex concepts in simple terms in order to build a solid foundation of knowledge which can be gradually built upon.
I can go through class work, homework or past exam questions that the student is struggling with, and am able to teach topics from scratch as well, depending on the needs of the student.
