Hi I’m Alison, I have a passion for France and all things French, my lessons are tailored to the student`s individual needs, interests and objectives, following an initial introduction lesson we will work together to attain your targets, whether that is French for business, getting by on Holiday, for GCSE or A’ Level exams. The aim is always to make learning French a rewarding and enjoyable experience

English by birth, I moved to live and work in Paris as soon as I finished school. When I returned to the UK, I worked in both French and Swiss banks, including a placement back in Paris and completed a French translation qualification.

For the past 12 years I have been a French teacher, mainly with under 11’s, but also including private tuition with adults, home schoolers, GCSE and A’ level students. I also run conversation French classes for adults. Since March 2020, I have moved to online teaching/tutoring using Zoom, PowerPoint and other tools. When allowed I have managed some in person lessons, including lockdown safe dog walks conducted entirely in French.
