Hello,

My name is Anja. I'm an English graduate with teaching experience in mainstream secondary, primary, as well as SEN and SEMH provisions. My main subject is English.

I have experience in teaching English as a foreign and second language also, as well as some experience in literature and creative writing.

I am a mother of two. A little girl who is 3, and a baby boy who has just turned 5 months. I speak German and have been enjoying teaching the language to my toddler. In my spare time (if I get any) I play saxophone, write short stories, read and play netball.

About Me

As a child my parents ran a residential setting for young adults with learning difficulties. This, combined with looking after my brother who has ASD, started my career in SEN care and education.

I went on to study English and Creative Writing at University, taught voluntary English as foreign language in Africa for a year, took an advanced course in German before going on to gain my PGCE. 

I have worked in mainstream as well as SEN and SEMH provisions. I have taught GCSE English, as well as Literature.

I have a creative and passionate approach to teaching and pride myself on the relationships I build with my students.

Services

I offer online tuition in English GCSE and functional skills, as well as a more relaxed tuition service for adults wishing to learn English by starting with the basics. I also offer face to face tuition if this is preferred.

My prices range from £15 - £25 an hour, depending on the service required.
