I have extensive experience tutoring Geography, Law and English, with a special focus on essay and exam technique.
I have tutored Geography up to undergraduate level, but have mostly spent time helping with A-level and GCSEs exam preparation and coursework technique. Since completing further studies in law (receiving a Distinction in the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)), I have spent over 150hours tutoring the GDL syllabus to students. My ability to break down the topics into a structure that lends itself to exam preparation has led my students to receive excellent results.
I have experience teaching English as foreign language, both in a school and tutoring a private family. I have also tutored children aged 6-16years old in English literature and composition, English language (grammar, punctuationa and spelling) and Geography. Having worked with children of many ages, I understand the different approaches needed. I am an enthusiastic learner and enjoy inspiring other people in the same way. I aim to make my tutoring sessions, productive, imaginative, engaging and fun, so the student feels a sense of achievement and develops a love for the subject.
I am currently tutoring full-time before starting a training contract at a law firm in September 2020. This means I have a flexible timetable and can dedicate my time to tutoring. I studied an undergraduate degree of Geography MA at the University of Edinburgh. A part of this involved spending a year in Spain studying Geography. Following graduation, I undertook the Graduate Diploma in Law. I have a passion for learning, specifically loving Geography, creative writing and law.
