Hello-my name is Anne Tanner. I have been a Spanish tutor for over 20 years-tutoring students of all ages and abilities. I have taught beginners up to ‘GCSE’ and ''A' level. My love of Spanish began when I lived in Mexico for 2 years-where I learned to speak Spanish. I know what it is like to learn a language from scratch-I was 26 when I studied Spanish for the first time. I practiced with native speakers and then went on to do my diploma with the Open University.
My teaching style is very relaxed fun and varied. I use PowerPoint, work sheets, audio files, DVD, games and textbooks to teach. I like to use games and puzzles as they make the lessons fun and interactive.
I use regular assessments so students can track their progress-an important tool to keep students motivated. I also encourage them to speak right from the beginning to build up confidence.
I have knowledge of both the 'GCSE' and ' A' level curriculum with the AQA exam board.
My experience of learning Spanish began when I was 26-I am now 57 and have been tutoring for over 20 years. I first learned to speak when I studied Spanish at college in Mexico City-I practiced with native speakers and soon fell in love with the language. I then went on to do my diploma with the Open University. I know first hand the techniques of learning a second language and I believe that my own experience enables me to encourage and motivate students.
The services I offer are beginner's Spanish tuition right up to 'A' level. Aswell as teaching complete beginners-I support GCSE and A level students during their exam preparations-I also teach conversational Spanish. I have a lot of experience of working with children-my classes are fun and interactive.
