Hello! My name is Bassel Hajj. I will first tell you about myself and then talk more about my teaching. I am an international student from Lebanon living in London. I study civil engineering at University College London and am currently in my second year. I moved to London three years ago when I was 17 turning 18 (now I am 20) for my foundation year at King’s College London. There, I did Computer Programming and Mathematics, before graduating in 2019 and moving to UCL to study my current degree, which I absolutely love. My love for tutoring comes from a very basic idea: finding the best way for everyone to learn the same content. I used to tutor my friends in my final high school year. It was voluntary and some needed help, so I offered my services and was able to help them out. I also used to train Karate as a black belt and used to be an assistant to my coach. In his absence, I used to take over the class. I have trained children, people my age, and even people who were older than me then. I completely appreciate that not everyone is the same, so I have a different approach to different kinds of people.

As for what I can help you with, it is mainly in Math. I studied it all the way from my childhood and continue to study it as a part of my degree now. I know very well about matrices, vectors, functions and algebra, derivatives and integrals, partial differentiation, etc. However, I am also able to help in other subjects like Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or writing. Other I achieved high grades in all science subjects during high school. I would be more than happy to help with those, but I’d ask that you send me the content which you want to learn at least a day before meeting so I can revise it, and I guarantee that I will come prepared.

I am also not much older than you, so I can relate more and am very patient and understandable with you.

Services

I offer math and english lessons up until a university level. Math includes algebra, matrices, vectors, geometry, and trigonometry. As for english, I mainly offer to help in writing essays or making presentations which fit the specific subject!
