Hello! I have recently graduated from Lancaster University with a first class degree in Politics and International Relations. I am due to start my Masters in October 2021 and thought tutoring and putting my knowledge to good use in the meantime would be perfect.

I'm based in Newcastle, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, currently working online via Skype, Zoom and Google Drive and available to take on new clients Nationwide.

I have extensive knowledge in Politics and International Relations, both at A Level and University Level. Further, I studied Economics at both A Level and degree level during my first year at University and would therefore love to help anyone studying Economics at GCSE or A Level.  Please don't hesitate to get in touch as I am very happy to help in any way that I can.

Services

Online Tuition for GCSE and A Level students.

I will asses you son/daughter's abilities initially and identify any gaps in skills/ learning and areas for improvement.  All of my sessions are tailored towards exam success. I use a lot of essay plans and exemplars in my tuition to ensure the criteria of the chosen exam board can be applied. Further, I believe discussion about real events and current news stories is important to ensure not only learning but understanding a topic occurs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors - Politics and International Relations Verified

My degree in Politics and International Relations covered a wide range of topics. It particularly focused on the theory and practice of international development. I took 3 modules relating to this area; International Political Economy of Globalisation, The Politics of Development and Africa and Global Politics. Each of these modules gave me extensive knowledge in aid and global development. Further, I covered both American and British politics in my final year at university through 2 different modules; Race and American Politics and Britain in the World. Both these modules gave me and insight into the functionings of government and society coupled with introducing me to a wide range of political concepts. Finally, my degree had extensive crossover with economic concepts and theories. In my second year I took a module entitled Economics for the Real World which greatly built on my knowledge from both A Level Economics and studying Economics in my first year at University. I believe this means I can be of great assistance in tutoring A Level or GCSE level Economics as well as Politics.
