I'm pursuing an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Oxford and a part-time private tutor. I believe in learning by developing a rich understanding and intuition about mathematics and science, aiming to get students to go beyond rote learning. The hope is that students focus more on learning concepts rather than spending many many hours on practice questions.

About Me

I studied in Singapore before coming to the UK for my university studies. While in secondary school / junior college (the equivalent of a sixth-form), I focused on taking math and science subjects gaining achievements such as:

- Top in cohort natural science in secondary 1 and 2

- Top in the cohort in chemistry in secondary 3, 4 and junior college 1 and 2

- Top in the cohort in physics in secondary 3, 4 and junior college 1 and 2

- Twice silver medalist in the National Olympiad in Informatics

- Gold medalist in the Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad, Silver medalist  in the Singapore Chemistry Olympiad

- Silver medalist in the Singapore Juinor Physics Olympiad

Services

I intend to primarily be giving tuition for mathematics, computer science, physics or chemistry at GCSE or A-level standard of the syllabus, though we can discuss any other arrangement. I have had experience teaching computer science at GCSE level and physics at AS Level. I'm primarily opting for online tuition.
