Hi I am Camellia!

I am a Cambridge and UCL Graduate with a deep interest in tutoring. When I was a student, I felt the lack of a tutor in my life who could make learning more fun for me and also teach me to be more independent in my learning journey. That is exactly the reason why I became a tutor. I think learning is most effective when you want to learn because you want to expand your knowledge not just for the sake of school or grades.

I teach in a way which gives you ownership over your own education and puts you in the driver's seat.

About Me

Learning doesn't have to be boring and mandatory. I make learning a habit, a passion so that school no longer feels like a burden.

I tutor because I believe every generation can teach me the new information-- which is partly why I really enjoy tutoring because I also get to learn from you. My classes are lively, discussion based and focused on practical examples-- so we will not be going through powerpoints or reading at length! Practice makes perfect and I will be right there in the trenches with you!

I was tutored by Camellia from 2018-2020 for my A-Levels in A-Level English and Politics. I found that Camellia was able to broke down all the content in simple bite-sized info so that I could actually understand the content before I could memorise anything. I quite liked this teaching style.

Camellia taught me for my 11+ exams. I found non-verbal reasoning and verbal reasoning especially hard. Camellia sat with me and found many past papers and even made questions herself so that I could continue to practice. She taught me how repetition allows you to spot patterns in the style of questions and this helped me get into my gramma school of choice.

I loved learning with Camellia. Her lessons felt like I was studying with a friend because she always kept our class hours super relaxed and conversational. I was quite nervous about my University interviews, particularly my Oxford interview but Camellia helped guide me through the process of applying and also the interview itself. Every week I had to sit through mock interviews which involved Camellia asking me a range of questions around my subject but also about general knowledge. Thanks to her I was able to perform quite well at my interview and got into Oxford! I am super glad I found her.
