About Me

I am a A-Level student currently working towards a 9 in my A-Levels. I take Mathematics and German as well as Chemistry at A-Level while balancing tutoring in between these subjects. In terms of grades at GCSE level, I received a 9 in both Chemistry and Mathematics and an 8= in German. I believe that all students in KS3 and GCSE level in the education field can achieve a 9 through commitment, confidence and resilience.

Charlie has worked responsibly and conscientiously for the whole of his GCSEs and A-Levels and completes home study set to deadlines. He continues to develop his understanding of the concepts in chemistry and shows a keen interest in the subject, often asking questions to consolidate and extend his knowledge. Charlie is very confident in himself and has a thoughtful approach and shows resilience to tackle problems and overcome them, which is why his knowledge is so good. He achieved above his target in the GCSE exam and is excellent in his practical chemistry. Charlie consolidates and make links between topics we have done showing he is confident in applying his knowledge to subtly different situations. Charlie is a fantastic Chemist, and any chemistry department would be lucky to have him.

Reference for Charlie Brown Charlie is an excellent maths student and a pleasure to teach. I have taught Charlie for 3 of the last 5 years and have seen him grow into a hard working, diligent, polite and friendly young student, who gets on well with his peers. He always gives of his best and is never afraid to be proactive in sharing his learning or in asking for help and support when required. He acheived a solid grade 9 in the Maths GCSE and I think with dedication and hard work, a Grade 9 is within his capability at A-Level despite it’s extra challenges. He has been regularly attending 'Additional Maths' which I run as an extra curricular activity, where we cover Grade 9 content.

Charlie has studied German with me for the last 3 years and has a natural flair for the language. He is a very confident and enthusiastic student, having spent numerous hours learning extra vocabulary on memrise. His strengths lie in the productive skills however where he is really able to show his understanding of the grammar as well.
