About Me

As a previous Deputy Head of Mathematics I have a solid understanding of what is needed to excel in Mathematics at all levels of examinations. My 5 years of classroom experience included teaching students from ages 11-18 at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. I develop strong relationships with my students and with my encouraging and patient approach give them the confidence needed to succeed in Mathematics.

I hold a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from King's College London including QTS and a 2:1 BSc Degree in Mathematics and its Applications from Cardiff University.

I appreciate that each student has their own unique learning style so with patience and encouragement I adapt my teaching to suit each individual. I often apply a problem-solving and explorative approach to deepen students’ mathematical understanding. I regularly return to previously covered topics to improve recall and expose students to a variety of exam-style questions.
