Hi, I'm Cheryl and I have 8 years experience working in Primary schools.

I am based in Essex and currently work as a Learning Support Assistant in a Primary school.  I am in my final year at University completing a degree in Primary Education Studies and will be commencing teacher training in September 2021.

I specialise in English and Maths and have worked in all year groups ranging from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 6.  I regularly cover teachers in the classroom and have experiencing teaching classes and delivering lessons.

In recent years I have also provided structured intervention lessons in Maths and English with a focus on preparing students for SATs.

I have two children of my own (who are both now secondary age) and so have a wealth of experience working and empathising with children of all ages.  This last year has been especially challenging for us all and so I wanted to be able to help children who may have missed so much of their education during this time.

About Me

I am currently completing a 3 year degree in Primary Education studies and am on target to achieve a First class degree.  My degree has comprised of Child Psychology; Learning and Teaching in the Primary Years; Developing Primary Subject Knowledge; International Education Study and Research with Children and Young People.

I have A-levels in History, English Literature and Biology.

GCSEs grade B and above in English Language, English Literature, Science, French, Art, History, and Maths.

I have a passion for teaching and am looking forward to completing teacher training later this year.

Services

I deliver 45 minute lessons to Primary age children online, safely and within the comfort of your own home.  In the current climate, this is the best option available.

The lessons can be focused on either Primary age Maths or English at any level and I can also assist your child with preparation for SATs exams. 

I aim to put your child at ease and build their confidence in areas they find challenging or daunting.

I recommend a free, 15 minute introductory meeting where we can have a chat and discuss your child's needs.  Then we can book online lessons should you feel I'm the right person for the job
