About Me

I am a university student studying in University College London. I have had tutoring experience for the last 4 years, mainly teaching GCSE maths.

I have been in one of the toughest education systems, specifically from Singapore, and I understand how difficult and abstract maths can be. This is why I approach teaching from an unconventional method, where I aim to help students understand how maths can be broken down, how it is actually applicable to our everyday lives, and how it can be simplified, instead of "this is just how it is". In other words, I explain the why, not just the how. This will ensure my students fully understand and see how topics come together and intertwine. Due to the recency of my secondary education, I have fresh knowledge of the curriculum, and I have achieved "A"s for maths in my GCSE and my A levels.

I admit that I may not be all knowing. Sometimes there will be questions that my students ask which I may not know the immediate answer, but I assure you that I will know how to look for the answer, and will work together with my students to figure that out, and both of us will relish in the relief of solving a maths questions. I also have knowledge in teaching piano, and I have taught basic piano to a variety of pupils, even ranging from kids with autism, to adult who would want to pick up an instrument. I do not teach advanced piano or piano grades as I believe I am not qualified enough to do so. However, I would be glad to introduce you to piano.
