I am an experienced and qualified EFL teacher and teacher trainer who has been teaching English for over twenty five years, eight of which have been with the British Council.

I have taught both adults and Young Learners at all levels, and have had experience of teaching a variety of different nationalities. I have also had extensive experience of designing and running IELTS courses for both the Academic and General Training examinations. As well as this, I am familiar with the skills and techniques required to assist students who are intending to take the Cambridge main suite of examinations.

I believe in a learner–centred approach to the classroom that includes a variety of teaching methods and ideas including variations on task–based learning. I am a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who is able to continually generate new ideas and approaches in order to improve my classroom skills.

I am able to use Skype, Zoom and Microsoft Teams to facilitate online learning.
