Having led Music and Performing Arts Faculties for over 25 years I am now available for online and face to face tuition. I have retired from  teaching full time in mainstream schools now in favour of teaching part-time. Although I still teach in local secondary and Primary schools my time now is dedicated to teaching one to one music lessons. I am available to teach both adults and children in guitar and piano. My second subject is English so I am also available to support your GCSE pupils in Literature and Language.

I can offer tuition that will motivate and engage. After the Covid 19 pandemic I will be offereing face to face tuition in your home or my home  throughout Teesside. During the pandemic I am available to support your children through difficult times. Through Zoom or Teams I will help them to cope with their English /Music curriculum. First lesson is free and if I do not engage you or your child in that lesson then we do not need to continue. I look forward to hearing from musicians and pupils who need that extra bit of motivation for English Lessons.

1993-2000   Lead Teacher in PRU for Warwickshire Special Educational Needs Support Sevice. Teaching Literacy/Numeracy/GCSE English/Foundation GCSE Maths/Photography/Art/Music.

2003-2006  Head of craetive Arts at City Of Leeds School.

2006-20014 Head of Performing Arts Bydales School. Marske By The Sea.

2014-2020  Lead Teacher of Music at Eskdale School Whitby.

Appointed  as a 'teaching and learning champion 'in last two posts: this entails leading other memebers of staff in whole school training.

NPQSL studied in 2013  This is the course that potential assistant/deputy headteachers undergo.

In role as main teacher in PRU's I recieved intensive training in SEN and specific behavioural management techniques. I was also trained in awareness for  Dyslexia, Autism and Aspergers. 

My DBS is up to date and onlne.
