Hi, I'm Eliana, an enthusiastic and passionate tutor from London, studying Computer Science in Birmingham University. Available for Primary and Seconday School Maths and English Tutoring up to GCSE Level with over 5 years experience.
I truly believe that anyone can achieve their goals as long as they are committed, hard-working and willing to try. I focus on isolating key challenges and topics of struggle within-subjects and boosting my student's skills to overcome them. As well as key techniques and practical advice, I focus on essay writing, course materials and gaining confidence in my students chosen subject. I do not believe students are 'bad' at any subject. With practise, understanding and patients, I believe I can bring all of my students up top the higher grades and make the subject enjoyable.

I believe English does not have to be the 'standard', unnecessary subject that so many students believe it to be. English is about expressing your creativity and opinions through words and languages, it is a subject that anyone can learn to enjoy. I aim to improve my students confidence in English by delving into essay writing, comprehension, poetry, creative writing and so much more. I aim to help my students reach top marks in their assesment and for them to gain an appreciation for the vital subject.
My love of Mathematics drives me to teach these subjects that I so enjoy. Having achieved A* in these subjects in GCSE and A-Level, I am confident in my skills and understanding of the subjects. I was also tutored in these subjects myself growing up and so find that I know what is needed to teach from first-hand experience. I want my students to realise that these subjects, that people consider challenging, can be enjoyable and greatly rewarding.
I tutor with the aim of my students learning to enjoy and achieve within this stereotyped 'boring' subject. From basic skills to complex equations, my students gain extended knowledge in the subject which they can put forth within exams. Memorization and method is key to Mathematics so I begin my tutoring by insuring all my student know and understand the material required, pushing them to the top grades.
I have been tutoring students in primary school, whether in Maths, Science or English for many years now. I think the most important aspect of young learning is to enjoy yourself and to give children the self-confidence to ask questions. Having struggled with Dyslexia from a young age, I grew up with many tutors which allows me to engage with my younger students as I was once them. I have taken students from low levels of reading and writing to top levelled students with eager minds and confidence in their abilities.
My students gain confidence and skills all aimed towards achieving top grades. I will be fully committed and ask my students to do the same. Please message for any questions or queries and I hope to hear from you soon.
