I am currently studying English Literature at City University of London. English has been a subject that has filled me with passion.                                                                                                                        The idea of understanding different writers and their ideologies of their own societies fascinates me. Acknowledging that writers use different writing devices to illustrate their opinions is a key skill in understanding any literature.                                                                                                                                  Any teacher that is excited by their subject, creates an environment for their students in which they are able to feed off of the tutor’s passion.  Through this, the students are able to feel the confidence they need in answering exam questions.                                                                                                           One of the most important things, to me, when being a tutor is being able to understand what a student needs, to help them tackle each issue at a time. Figuring out what style of teaching a student will learn from, is also important - whether the student prefers visual learning, verbal learning, social learning and many more. Not only should a successful tutor look at the students but should also look and understand the student’s school and their exam boards. As each exam board and school differs from one an another thus, adapting the lesson to each individual student’s needs and their exam board requirements.

I am determined that any student of mine will gain assurance within the subject, skills, and eagerness in the subject.
