Challenging year balancing theory and practice - 6 weeks completed in two different secondary schools (up to GCSE level) - in order to earn qualified teacher status in modern foreign languages - French. • Observing good practice (inside and outside department) in the classroom and gaining experience • Planning starters and plenaries supported by the main teachers and discussing various methods to cater for the range of abilities in the classroom (differentiation/ working towards long term memory) • Active presence in department meetings and discussing curriculum improvements, collaborating and supporting in school clubs. • Planning full lessons, proving lesson plans and working upon teachers feedback to improve practice
