Over the years I have tutored students between the ages of 5-28 with great results. In the last few academic years 2018-2022 I have seen my GCSE students rise from Level 1 and 2 in English Literature and Language to gaining Level 6s in their official GCSEs. Equally, students starting from 6s rise to 8s and 9s. My previous A Level students worked extremely hard with my feedback and within the sessions to move from grade D to achieving Grade B and As in their final examinations.

This level of improvement is achieved by establishing your child`s strengths and using their confidence to drive change in both their written and verbal communication. One of the most important aspects to learning and developing is making sure your child knows they are capable, and they are able to achieve top grades with the correct methods and essay writing techniques.

I tailor my sessions to your child by assessing their needs and the demands of their particular exam board. It is understanding how your child will reach those needs in the most effective way during exam conditions. This is an aspect which I use throughout my sessions, and a technique which has been very successful and informative for my previous students, breaks down the fear of working to timed conditions, and encourages confidence and effective writing skills.

Please feel free to get in touch. I check my enquiries daily and I respond within one day. My available working hours are flexible if a tutoring session is not possible within the times stated.

Hayley is a very thoughtful and engaging tutor who is currently helping my 14 year old son with his English. He was very reluctant to have a tutor but Hayley has brought him round and he is appreciative of what he has learnt and what she is doing to assist him. I would highly recommend Hayley to anyone interested in hiring a private tutor.

I am very happy to recommend Hayley. My youngest daughter is very pleased and I also find communication with Hayley straighforward. My daughter is quite driven and does not settle for anything but the best. She has only received top grades on tests and assessments since her tuition as is now aiming for a Level 9 in English.

Hayley is an exceptional tutor. She is knowledgable, committed and provides fun but focused support for both of my children. She knows exactly what their educational needs are and very quickly developed a bespoke tutoring style for both of them. She also has the unique ability to make learning extremely fun, which is essential. From an organisation perspective in terms of setting up the sessions and communicating with us, I cannot fault her. She is prompt, responsive and a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend Hayley highly enough. I am so pleased she is helping my children.

Our daughter has been working with Hayley for a month and I can already see a difference in her confidence and motivation towards school work. Hayley is very nurturing and patient, but knows when to challenge and stretch our daughter to try something new. I honestly feel that our daughter has gained more from 4hrs of Hayley's tuition than 16 or so weeks of lockdown home schooling with me! Thank you Hayley for setting the bar high. We can't wait to see how our daughter progresses.

I engaged Hayley on behalf of a family member who speaks English as a second language to correct minor errors and she has been fantastic so far. My family member was reluctant and embarrassed to start but Hayley made her feel so at ease and she can’t wait for further lessons now. Most importantly, her English has improved already!

Hayley has been such a support to my daughter during her final year in high school. She is very thorough with her lessons, well planned, scheduled and carried out. For those students like my daughter that want to cover a certain amount of work within a time frame, she work out how she can use their sessions to best meet the her needs. Optional homework is sourced and set by hayley to ensure my daughter meets her targets. The communication between hayley and my daughter is exceptional with amendments to session times/dates changed as and when appropriate. It’s a flawless tuition service that has really given my daughter back the confidence she lacked, with their support I am confident she will pass her exams with flying colours.
