Hello! 

I am a native Canadian. I speak English, French and some Spanish. My lessons are designed to help people use English for the purposes they need in their lives --travel, work, study, or everyday life in an English-speaking country. 

I have taught English in-person, online, individual & small groups, all ages, all levels, and from all parts of the world for over fifteen years and I love it! I love getting to know you and sharing views as we talk about whatever interests you. I believe people learn best when they are relaxed and having fun, so I provide interesting and varied activities in the classes. For example we could do song lyrics, discuss movie clips, learn history, talk about your family, or whatever you like. I am quite knowledgeable about health, fitness, travel, food, and spirituality, so if any of these interest you just let me know. My least favorite topic is politics, but if you enjoy it, we can discuss it. It is your class and my goal for you is to help you learn as much as possible in a short time....or a long time if you decide to perfect your English skills. 

Something unique I am good at is helping with pronunciation and business English. I have run my own business for over fifteen years. As a native English speaker with extensive training, including an advanced certificate in Teaching English as a Second of  Other Language, as well as a Master's of Education degree,  I can help you with grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and useful expressions.

About Me

Personal? 

Hmm....I've shared most in my introduction above. More specifically, I love, nature, physical activity such as swimming and tai chi. Actually, I am a tai chi teacher and I have been doing tai chi in wonderful places as I traveled around the world recently. Some of my favorites are the seaside locations in Costa Rica and Croatia. Prague, Berlin, London and Edinburgh were very interesting places to visit. My last trip was to Split and Dubrovnik, both locations of filming the Game of Thrones television series. 

I have two brothers, two sisters and my parents, all living in Canada. Presently I have been living alone or with house-mates and traveling in Central America and Europe. I still plan to visit South America when it is safe to do so. 

Some people say I am kind, generous, and friendly. I believe this is true.
