Hello and welcome!
Are you finding it hard to keep your child focussed and motivated? Are they quickly becoming frustrated and bored completing worksheets set by their class teacher during the lockdown? Does your child need extra support to impart crucial knowledge to become secure in a certain topic? Is your child receiving appropriate tools to explore the ideas generated by their creative minds?
If this sounds familiar then look no further. Children are known to be inherently inquisitive and curious which means they can become disengaged when they are unable to relate the knowledge being taught to them to the real world. Children often have additional questions about a topic which are seldom answered in the classroom environment.
What I aim to achieve is a consistent balance between learning, fun, curiosity and relatability to ensure your child progresses in all areas of the curriculum. To do this, I create a tailored approach to your child’s needs so they enjoy the process of learning and are able to answer the big questions they may have.
I have first hand experience understanding the difficulties faced being a student during a national lockdown due to completing my degree during this time. I studied at Canterbury Christ Church University and gained a second-class honours degree in Primary Education.
Throughout my degree I gained experience in a number of different classrooms ranging from year 2 to year 6 including time spent at an SEN school and an international school in Hong Kong. I also have experience teaching English online to Chinese students in addition to home tutoring to prepare students for their 11+.
If you are interested in what I have to offer for your child, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs further.
I offer tailored tutoring sessions online on a 1-2-1 basis for Primary aged children (5-11 years).
