Qualifications

  • Certificate - Advanced Sociology Verified

Sociology is one of the social sciences and, like history and psychology, tries to understand human behaviour in the wider context of society. Sociology particularly concerns the study of social life, offering different explanations and evidence for what affects our social behaviour. Sociologists are also interested in the historical development of societies. In my A-Level Sociology course I covered theory and research methods, methods in context, culture and identity, families and households, work, poverty & welfare, crime and deviance, beliefs and society, global development, the media, stratification and differentiation.

  • Certificate - Advanced Psychology Verified

Psychology is one of the social sciences, and is the study of human behaviour and experience. It is about studying people, why we think and behave in the way that we do, and how we develop. During my A-Level Psychology course I learned about how how our behaviour is influenced by other people and external stimuli such as stress, how psychology is employed by the media and psychopathology. I also studied and explored different research methods and how to apply these to psychological experiments.
