Hi! My name is Isobel and I am currently studying my Bachelor of Music degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
I am a clarinet player, and I also play bass clarinet and alto saxophone too. My biggest passion is to play in an orchestra or a pit band at the West End! Before starting at Trinity, I completed a Diploma in Higher Education at Anglia Ruskin University, supporting me with my teaching and musical outcomes.
I love any genre, from Classica, Film Music, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Folk, to Klezmer!
About Me
My name is Isobel and I am currently studying Clarinet Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I previously attended Anglia Ruskin University, and decided to expand my options and apply for a course that was more specific in my field. I also play bass clarinet, and I have grade 8 in clarinet, grade 5 in flute, and I am self taught to around grade 6 on alto saxophone. I also have a keen interest in Jazz and World/Klezmer music aside classical, as well as music therapy.
I have taught clarinet online with a few students over the course of 2020, and it has been a very interesting challenge - a good one though!
I am from Essex but currently based in London and have been primarily playing clarinet since the age of 8. I started my music career when I joined the Royal British Legion Youth Band Brentwood back in 2010, where I toured in Swanage, participated in events such as the Harrods Parade, Horse Guards Parade, and Remembrance Day services. In 2012, I became principal clarinettist and participated in the Zürich Tattoo with the band. In 2017, I then joined the Essex Youth Jazz Orchestra where I took part in evening concert's and Music for Youth. Currently, I am trying different genres to play, as solo, wind quintets, and also trios, and I am also taking part in lots of virtual orchestra and West End projects!
