Hello! My name is Jack and I'm a History, Geography and Religious Studies Teacher. I work in a London Fringe school teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies KS3-4, and am looking to offer online or in-person tuition to those who may need it.
About Me
I studied History at the University of St Andrews, achieving a high 2:1 in 2016. I have worked in education for 2 years with Teach First, becoming a fully qualified teacher in 2022. I have experience teaching to a wide variety of needs and ability levels. I currently teach full-time, teaching History, Geography and Religious Studies, KS3-4.

- Tutoring and Revision for GCSE Geography (AQA, OCR, Edexcel)
- Tutoring for Reading, Literacy, Writing, and Critical Thinking.
Lessons are as I teach in my classroom: plenty of direct and helpful guidance with opportunities for extended reading, scholarship, and writing, and for students to develop their independent thinking and share their opinions. Lessons generally last 1-2 hours dependent on topic.

Qualifications

PGCE - History (Teach First PGDE)
2023I completed the Teach First Programme 2021-23, receiving my PGDE (Teach First's equivalent of a PGCE) in 2023, following my QTS in 2022. I taught History with Teach First and branched out into Geography and Religious Studies too.

I completed my undergraduate degree in History at the University of St Andrews in 2016, receiving a high 2:1.
