My name is Jacob Cameron. I am from sugar-town itself, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

I am currently starting out as a music teacher but I am excited to implement everything that I have learnt throughout my time as a musician, into my teaching. 

The acoustic guitar is my forte, particularly styles such as pop, folk, rock and country. I'm fascinated by the endless ways there are to play a guitar. Players such as Gareth Evans, Tobias Raunch and Jon Gomme are but a few innovative guitarists that show us exactly the kind of range a single acoustic guitar can have. 

I've been playing guitar now for 7 years and within that time I have played numerous solo performances around my hometown as well as Brighton & Hove, Eastbourne and Bournemouth. 

I've also played Rhythm Guitar in host of University project bands whilst I studied in Brighton, so i'm experienced in electric styles of playing as well.

My approach is to individualise the content of my teaching to the learner. I want to find out what you know already and tailor our lessons around what you need now. If you are a beginner who has never piked up a guitar before, then the focus will be on getting to grips with basic open chords and just cultivating that sense of independence and just having fun actually playing the guitar. If you're more advanced in your knowledge and skills then maybe i would start implementing structure practice routine to take your playing to the net level and setting reading lists and externals links to music, teaching advice and videos online.

I charge £10 per half an hour lesson. I can teach online and am willing to comunicate outside of lessons so long as the communication benefits the in lesson learning. I am willing to teach in person should learners be willing to travel.
