About Me
Hi, my name is Jake. I hope I can provide the highest standard of education to give your child the skills and confidence they need for their next step, whatever that may be.
I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher with extensive experience tutoring online. I have a wide array of tools to make online learning fun, straightforward and effective. My system for learning is slick and accesible; all of your child's work will be clearly organised and ready to view immediately, with no intervention required.
I have a broad range of experience, from KS1 to BTEC Lvl 3. For the last 12 months, I've been focused exclusively on tutoring English and Maths online, so my lessons have beconme very specialised.
Peers and clientele say my teaching style is energetic and engaging. I ensure that students leave my lessons feeling confident, respected and empowered. I don't believe one size fits all, so I tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual.

May 2020Jake has been working with my 7 year old daughter for a few weeks now and I have to say I'm incredibly pleased with how the sessions are progressing. Being 7 it can be difficult for her to stay focused but she loves the sessions with Jake and he does a great job of keeping her engaged. He has an energetic approach and makes good use of a range of media that keeps the sessions interesting. I would particularly recommend him for younger children who might find traditional approaches difficult, particularly when delivered online. -

May 2020Jake has recently started tutoring our son and things are going really well, Jake is patient and understanding, giving out son time to acclimatise to new teaching methods. Our son lacks confidence in reading and Jake is working very hard to support him and build his confidence. I love the fact Jake has new, varied and interesting tasks each lesson, he's trying really hard to work out what works best for our son so he can support him best he can.
