I'm James and I'm a specialist physics tutor, offering additional tutoring in mathematics and coding. I am a final year PhD student at the University of Oxford studying experimental particle physics and working on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.

About Me

I'm a final year PhD student at the University of Oxford. I study experimental particle physics, and work on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, searching for Higgs bosons!

I was an undergraduate physics tutor at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford. There, I prepared and led undergraduate physics tutorials, working with students to solve physics problems they struggle with, and recieiving positive responses throughout. I also engaged in a lot of outreach, teaching high school students the basics of particle physics in an exciting and accessible way when they attended the Oxford Particle Physics Masterclass.

I have a strong grasp of mathematics and science. I have a first class degree in physics from University College London and three A* grades in A-level Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with an A grade AS-level in Biology.

Services

I offer tutoring in mathematics, physics and the Python programming language, with physics being my specialism.

I can tutor physics up to and including A-level, with the potential to tutor undergraduate physics subjects depending on the course. I can also tutor mathematics up to GCSE, with the potential to tutor up to A-level depending on the exam.
