About Me

With over twenty years' experience in Education as a Literacy Intervention Teacher, homeschool tutor and ESOL tutor, I can progress children and adults to exceed their academic levels. My online tutorials offer a bespoke service, tailored to the student's needs and interests and are always fun and engaging! I can teach individual students or groups of up to four students via Zoom. 

I have experience in teaching primary school children from Year 1 through to Year 6 and am knowledgeable in all areas of the National Curriculum in Literacy: 

Reading and Comprehension
Writing
Spelling, punctuation and grammar
Phonics (Year 1 Phonics Screening Test practice)
Speech and Language
SATs (Year 6 SATs practice)
English as an Additional Language (EAL/ESOL)

I can teach students with Special Educational Needs and learning challenges such as dyslexia.
Additionally, I am qualified to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and have taught students from overseas i.e. Hungary, India, Nigeria, Japan, Italy, Germany and Russia.

I also speak Welsh fluently and can teach Beginner and Intermediate Levels.

I have a proven track-record of progressing all learners in their studies.

My love for languages has motivated me to learn more languages and I am currently learning Spanish.
