Hello!

My name is Jean-Luc, I am a recent graduate holding a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Manchester. I studied at a French independent secondary school in London, so am willing to teach maths in both English and French. I understand how difficult maths can be for students, having been there myself at times, but I believe by giving them a deeper understanding of maths, they can overcome their problems. Maths is difficult to teach in a classroom, as each student will have many different strengths and weaknesses. It isn't necessary to have a great memory and learning ability, it's much more effective to teach students a better understanding and meaning to mathematical problems. I can work with students to develop their base, where from then on they will be able to apply it to any problem, instead of memorising a bunch of unnecessary information which is time constraining and inefficient. Although it may not seem like it, through this way of thinking, everyone and anyone can be great at maths and even find it fun.
