John Maths, Physics and Computing Tutor Bachelors

  • Travels 7.0 miles

My name is John and I have recently graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics, achieving Upper Second Class Honours (2:1).

I am currently studying for a Masters at UCL in Quantum Technologies.

I finished my A-Levels in 2018, achieving A*A*AA in Mathematics, Physics, Further Mathematics and Philosophy.

In finished my GCSEs in 2016, achieving 11A*-C with A* Mathematics, A* Further Mathematics, A* Computer Science and A* Physics.

I am looking to tutor because I find it fulfilling and I like helping students learn. I prefer to use the Socratic method to help students gain mastery of topics, ensuring that they achieve highly on their incoming exams and have an excellent foundation for their next steps.

About Me

A bit about myself:

I spent this summer as a Summer Analyst in an investment bank's Global Markets Division (trading). I primarily rotated across derivatives trading desks.

Whilst at University, I wrote science and news articles for my student paper. I love programming and have in the past made apps for iPhones and simple websites.

Next year I hope to do a PhD in Quantum Computing.
