Hi! I'm Juanita and I  am a qualified teacher specialising in KS1 and EYFS.  I am experienced in teaching early reading and writing skills as well as early maths. I am passionate about teaching and helping children to develop different strategies to support their learning. I employ a range of teaching resources to aid in learning. I use ‘LPC’ and ‘read write inc’ to teaching phonics as well as bug club to aid in the application of phonetic skills. To support early handwriting I employ a range of fine motor skills activities to aid in children’s physical development. I use ICT to support teaching and ensure that I am following the children’s interests so that learning is fun. I teach in a systematic way, ensuring that all areas are covered, which helps identify any gaps children might have in their learning. I am very professional in my craft and strive to support children to reach their full potential.

About Me

I am currently employed as a Primary teacher based in year 1. I enjoy finding new and innovative ways of teaching reading and writing.Studying developmental psychology before embarking on a PGCE has given me a greater knowledge about children and the importance of early learning as foundations for later life. 

Services

I offer phonics teaching using a combination of RWI AND Jolly Phonics. I teach Maths using the maths mastery scheme. I also offer general curriculum catchup.
