Katy Reeve — GCSE English Specialist

I help GCSE students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or “just not good at English” finally understand what the exam wants — and how to deliver it with confidence.

With 30 years of teaching experience and a specialism in neurodivergent learners, my sessions focus on clear systems, structured writing methods, and repeatable strategies that move grades.

To get results, students don’t just read the texts — they learn how to plan, write, and revise in a way that makes sense.

I run small group classes (max 6), targeted holiday workshops, and limited one-to-one support for students already in groups.

About Me

I’m Katy —
A kids’ lit addict, early-morning walker, strong-coffee devotee and unwilling-but-strangely-proud taxi driver to three teenagers (it’s where all the real conversations happen). I share my house with three kids, two cats, one dog, and a lot of books.

I’ve spent over 25 years teaching, and I’ve seen first-hand how the right support can completely change a young person’s confidence, direction, and belief in themselves. That’s why I do what I do.

I can’t wait to help your child learn in a way that actually makes sense to them — and finally step into the grades they’re capable of.

Katy kindly tutored my daughter when she was finding reading particularly challenging in primary school. As my daughter is dyslexic, Katy individually tailored her tutoring to include visual learning aids and other resources that helped immensely. We found Katy to be patient and kind. She also made the tutoring sessions colourful, bright and interesting. She made learning fun! My daughter's confidence and ability in reading increased tremendously, as did her test scores. The techniques taught by Katy are still used by my daughter today in secondary school. Katy is a fabulous teacher who really connects with her students.
