A little about me...
I have 8 years of tutoring experience, which I do alongside work/study. I am patient but I have high standards: I will work hard to help you get the highest grades, but that is only possible if you put in the work, too.
I'm currently a Visiting Research Fellow at Zurich University. I graduated from Magdalen College, University of Oxford (Double First Class) taking lessons at the Royal Academy of Music, before studying the Graduate Law Conversion course at the University of London (Distinction) and an LLM in the USA. I am a qualified barrister.
I studied Music, French, German, Fine Art, and EPQ at A Level (5A*s), and gained 11A*s at GCSE. I have lived in Germany and Switzerland. I have experience tutoring all abilities from Year 7-13, as well as school classroom experience as a student teacher.
I'm very friendly and patient - I would love to hear from you to work out how I can help you.
My approach is student-centric. For students requiring just a few lessons, I will encourage you to let me know in advance of the lesson broad topics they wish to revise so that I can prepare lessons that will be useful for you. If you want longer term help, I will tailor a complementary curriculum with your lessons at school to ensure you get out of our lessons as much as possible. I will mark and provide feedback on essays and homework. I believe that targeted practice makes perfect, and I will ensure that you have all the resources and practice materials you need to excel. This includes creating new targeted resources and providing scans of practice resources, at no extra cost.
