About Me

A former Teacher of English at a Grammar School in Greater Manchester (Year 7-13), with experience teaching the AQA, Edexcel and Pearson I/GCSE specification.

I hold a BA HONS in English Language and a Secondary English PGCE (Outstanding)-both qualifications were obtained at The University of Manchester.

I have a detailed insight and understanding of the educational system, as I am an Examiner for AQA (GCSE English Language) and a Senior Assessor for OCR (A-Level English Language).

I ensure that the tutoring sessions enable students to practise the skills that are required for the exam. This practise leads to familiarity and therefore, an increase in confidence. Written responses are marked by myself and I will give guidance by pointing out areas to improve.
I also frequently share the mark scheme for each question, so that students can understand the elements and areas that examiners seek to reward.
