Hi! I'm Laura and I am a Primary School teacher. Having previously worked as a teaching assistant helping children 1:1 or in small groups with speech and language, phonics, maths and English, I went on to train as a primary school teacher and have worked in both key stage one and key stage two teaching classes of 30 children.
 

I have previously tutored children helping them with subjects including maths, English, French and phonics.

I help children who need more confidence with basic skills in English and/or Maths, reinforcing learning from the classroom, filling in learning gaps or extending learning. I have always built good working relationships with my pupils based on trust and respect. 

Having taught in year one most recently, I have experience with early reading and writing. 

I can assess your child/ren and work with them from where they are currently, tailoring sessions to their individual needs. 

I love learning and look to make lessons that are engaging, interactive, fun and purposeful. Lessons can be weekly or fortnightly. I am happy to discuss ideas with you, and look forward to working with you and/or your child/ren.
