Hola!
My name is Leonor and I was born and grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and also lived in Madrid for many years. So that I am very familiar with both Latin American and Castilian Spanish language. I love travelling, sports and learning about different cultures so that language serves like a bridge to interact with them. Hence I am passionate about languages and currently learning my 3rd language and going for my 4th soon!
I have a long career as an IT Engineer but I have always had an interest for teaching and as IT Consultant I did a lot of training and mentoring in IT and soft skills. Now, I have the opportunity to merge all my passions (IT, Teaching and Languages) as a Spanish Teacher and I keep on working on improving my teaching skills to give my students the best learning experience. I am a Certified ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language) teacher with further education in Teaching Online by Cambridge University and other Language training courses. Recently I achieved my Level 4 in Education & Training certification certificate as Further Education teacher.
As a keen language student and IT person, I can easily put myself in learners' shoes to design useful materials, dynamic lessons and making use of digital resources in order to meet your expectations and provide you with memorable and amusing classes, following your own pace and personalising the lessons to your needs and interests. And, always getting better as a teacher thanks to my students' feedback!! So, I am really looking forward to embarking together in this exciting learning journey.
Hasta pronto!
I was born and studied in Argentina until I finished my studies in IT Engineer. Then I decided to move to Spain to know and live in my grandparents´ homeland. In Spain, I worked in the IT industry and also completed a Master degree in HR and a Postgraduate Course in Business Intelligence. After such a wonderful experience, my IT professional career gave me the opportunity to move into the UK where I live since then and started my family. In the recent past, my passion for languages and teaching made me going for a career change to gain training and more hands-on experience in Education & Training which I love and dedicate all my efforts these days.
I am a native Spanish- speaker offering private lessons for Adults / Teens / Children who need help with academic challenges/job duties/business projects/holidays or moving plans, or passionate about languages and looking for beginning/improving their conversational skills in a Second Language.
