I am a French native speaker. I was an au pair in London for a year, which helped me become fluent in English and permanently moved to England a year ago now.

I have done tutoring before, with native French speakers, where I was helping them out with the French equivalents of GCSE/A-Levels.The tutoring sessions consisted of: grammar lessons, dictation exercises, past papers training, out-loud reading, etc. 

I also used to give private English conversation lessons to French speakers.

I studied French literacy during a foundation year, and have a Bachelor's Degree in Media and Communication and I just recently completed my MA in Law.

I have also been doing tutoring in French for both English and French speakers for the past year. I have experience with all levels of French and I am adaptable.

About Me

My name is Lucia, I am 24 years old and a French native speaker. I first studied in France, where I got my Bachelor's degree with honours. I moved to England last year to study law and I just completed my Masters in Law, and I got a Distinction. 

Services

My teaching style is adaptable but consist primarily of grammar/conjugation exercises. We will go through the questions together, talk through any vocabulary. You will then try to answer the questions to the best of your abilities, with my help.

We will talk through any difficulties you might have and repeat similar exercises where they are more difficult for you. I also always try to incorporate conversational French into my lessons and will try to speak as much French as possible with you - and make you speak French as much as possible!

I am happy to discuss and adapt my teaching to whatever suits you best: conversation, grammar, conjugation, etc. I also have 'template lessons' that I will send out to you after our meeting, ie a fiche de révision on the future tense, for example. I will also send you the vocabulary we talked about together during the session. I will expect you to learn and remember the vocabulary for the next time we meet.

When hiring me for GCSE/A-Levels French, my teaching style is primarily based upon past papers. We will go through the questions together and discuss any queries you might have about them. You will then answer the questions, with my help. I will give you tips on how to succeed, and how to best answer potential exam questions.

Past papers include: reading, writing, listening. When doing writing online, because it is complicated to write everything in a chatbox, we would usually talk it through together.

I am also happy to offer group tuition if it is something you are more comfortable with.

Because I am currently tutoring people for GCSEs and A-Levels, so I am up to date on the curriculum and exam boards.
