At the moment I work as a Head of Spanish and deputy head of the MFL faculty in a secondary school in north London.
I provide tutoring for learners of all ages and levels, as well as organise lessons and courses for groups and I am willing to attend to your home for the same price.
I remain in contact most of the time, and I am flexible with time, feel free to contact me and we will find the best moment for your lesson!
I am really passionate about teaching and create a learning environment that gives the chance to really learn and apply the knowledge. I think the education`s key is not just to transfer what you know, it is to support the learner to set and achieve their goals using appropriate methods for a particular individual. Oct 2023So far all good, my son has just had few sessions with Luis but he's happy and engaging well with Luis' teaching, which is important. Luis is approachable and was very patient with us when trying to fit a date and time which would suit us all. When we had the initial meeting to discuss my son's Spanish level etc, he made very good recommendations and point out what we needed to ask to the school in order to find out what type of GCSE exam he'd be having so he would then be able to teach that particular type of exam and meet its structure/requirements. I'd recommend Luis. He's very professional and works towards the individual needs of the student. -

Mar 2021Luis has been an amazing tutor for my son, helping ease his anxiety and reducing the stress of preparing for an A Level in the middle of a pandemic! Being out of the class for so long and with online lessons restricted, my son has missed out on getting sufficient speaking practice and having this "one on one" tuition with a Spaniard has really helped build his confidence no end. From the very start Luis has made him feel comfortable and relaxed. He has helped with grammar, tenses, vocabulary, speaking, essays and probably much more. He`s been well prepared for every lesson (even setting tasks before the first lesson), setting additional homework and helping with school homework too. He goes the extra mile, even responding to queries between lessons (and very quickly) and my son doesn`t have a bad word to say about him. We would not hesitate in recommending him and we are only sorry that we didn`t find him sooner! -
