Education professional with a background in Primary School teaching- 10 plus years worth of experience working in Devon and Greater Manchester working across KS2 primarily- working as a classroom teacher, French specialist teacher, PPA teacher and Art specialist teacher. I have also supported groups of children and individuals with their 11+ examinations for entry to grammar school. These have been local to Manchester as well as nationally. I am a Fine Art, French and English Language specialist having both tutored these subjects to both children and adults. I acknowledge different learning styles and ways of interpreting different ideas. I am to tailor make sessions to suit their abilities and interests. I believe in a question based led approach to tutoring which sparks curiosity for the learner where they can take on an active role in their learning- promoting independence always . I am a firm believer that it doesn't matter how quickly or slowly a person makes progress as long as they are not encouraged to stop!
About Me
Creatively minded and patient child and adult tutor.
I was a Primary teacher for a decade and at this point realised the shortfalls that existed in the system for many children.
For this reason, I decided to become a Private Tutor- providing personalised learning experiences for all.
When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy hiking and painting.

I offer all subjects at Primary level, 11 + examination tuition
At secondary level, I offer English, Art, French and Geography to GCSE level
I provide services for SEN individuals, Dyslexic students and those with sight issues.
Adult tuition available in addition. Various subjects.

Dec 2019Luke is extremely personable and was an instant hit with my son. Within a matter of a couple of weeks he was feeling the benefit of Luke's input and is clearly growing in confidence. Luke was engaged to work on English but is extremely adaptable and has also given some valuable assistance with art. I would highly recommend.
