As a practitioner, I believe that every child has the potential to excel and can make a difference to the world they live in. This is achievable by 'nurturing' the skills, abilities and talents of young people: This is what steered me into teaching - the passion to influence and inspire young minds!

I have 8 years’ experience working with young people in educational and supportive settings. This includes special educational provisions; mainstream secondary education; children residential home and local community outreach. I have worked with young people from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds with a plethora of needs.

I have supported young people within schools pastorally and academically as a SEN teaching assistant and as a part of a local community outreach program; where in which I facilitated a variety of youth courses. In addition, I am a fully qualified Ofsted rated outstanding teacher of English and Sociology of 8 years. During this time, I have held a variety of responsibilities, these include: KS3 lead, deputy head of English and Lead English Practitioner and I am fully qualified AQA English examiner.
