I am an experienced and committed teacher who currently works as Head of KS5 Biology at a grammar school. I have also worked extensively as a tutor of science and maths. I have dedicated my career to improving the understanding of my students and their prospects in examinations, and as such have a proven track record of reliability and good communication with students and parents, and a demonstrable strong understanding of the way in which Biology should be taught.

Services

I tutor KS3-5 Biology, supporting students to improve their understanding. This will involve talking through the topic, building on what the student already knows and instiling confidence and the ability to excel in exam situations. I use exam questions extensively to improve exam technique. As part of this service, homework will be set for each session to allow students to improve independently (this will vary based on the Key Stage of the pupil, however for exam years will usually involve practice questions). I also provide a short report for parents at the end of each session to ensure they are confident their child is improving. 

Online or at my home in Sturminster Marshall, Dorset: £30.00/hour.

I can also offer tutoring at student's homes in Poole, Bournemouth and the surrounding villages, however this is £35.00/hour to accomodate travel time.  .
