About Me

I studied Criminology and Psychology at university and now work as an English tutor and ESOL teacher. I have always had a passion for English Language and Literature, and always got the highest marks in school. Creative writing is one of my favourite things to do and I love reading too. I can be a bit of a stickler for correct grammar and punctuation, which makes this job perfect for me. I have been a volunteer and private tutor of English, both academic and general, for over 6 months now. I can honestly say that there is nothing else I would rather do than teach others.

Positivity is the key to succeeding and that is the motto I go by. I think learning is the best and we can have so much fun learning together! Don't be nervous, I am here to help. It's okay if you make mistakes because that is how we learn. Confidence is just as important as positivity, because you need to feel like you are capable of doing well. I constantly offer encouragement for all of my students. Even when they are really struggling. You are doing this for yourself, not me, not your parents, not your teachers. Just keep calm and keep smiling! You can do this and I can't wait for us to get started!
