Hi I'm Michael, a passionate and enthusiastic Physics graduate with exceptional subject knowledge in Mathematics and Physics at GCSE/A-Level and beyond, applying in October for my PGCE to become a fully qualified secondary school Physics teacher and pursue a career in education.
I have always shown great interest in teaching others concepts and information , and customising his teaching approach to find out what works best for the individual. It is a real passion of mine, and I take great satisfaction and pride in seeing the progress of understanding in students as their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge grows with their competence of the subject in question. This perhaps stems from the pivotal role of teaching and enthusiasm for academia experienced in his household
from an early age, with his mother being a primary school teacher for over a decade, and father placing great emphasis on the power of Maths and Sciences holding a Chemistry and Computer Science degree.
My first taste of tuition officially came at the age of just 14, being employed by parents of a friend during the buildup to GCSE exams, in which I helped to improve his Maths and Science grades significantly whilst enjoying their sessions together. The next was during my AS (12th) year, in which top Mathematics students were selected through a vigorous interview process - he was then selected out of around 40 to have 2 weekly sessions with a struggling foundation mathematics GCSE student for 2 months, helping her to achieve a passing grade.
I am now extremely excited to pursue this career further after realising that this was the path for me during my final year of University; one in which I can share my infectious enthusiasm for Maths and Physics as my teachers once did for me.
