I hated school. But loved reading. I wanted to be a vet, but didn’t have the confidence or the energy to keep doing things requiring a calculator. Thirds level education, I knew, is where I’d find my perfect medium. And I did. Despite being very dyslexic and working with ADHD, I achieved a 2.1 with 69.4% and firsts in modules including Modernism, international relations, Modern Literature, Dramatic prose and Irish poetry. I want to share the confidence my lecturers came to the classes with. They knew they didn’t know everything but they sure as heck helped us grapple with topics that questioned our own ways of thought and manners of communicating. I didn’t get this far without a system - especially considering the level of dyslexia I’m working with. It works. It’s a standard Type-A personality, plan driven, self-aware course that will put your best interests, and mental health, first.
