Hi! My name's Niamh, I am tutor in English and English as a Second Language. I have a degree in Linguistics & Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages as well as a Teaching English to Adults (CELTA) Qualification certified by the University of Cambridge.
I have a younger sister currently studying for her GCSEs and I often help her with her work and revision, and mainly focus on exams and essay techniques to help you make the most of your knowledge in an exam.

About Me
I graduated from York St John University with a BA Hons Degree in Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 2019. I also obtained my CELTA Teaching Qualification in teaching English to adults from University of Cambridge. I have a real passion for learning and am looking to start a Master's degree in Forensic Linguistics.
I have a real love for teaching and supporting others in learning, I volunteered teaching English during my degree as well as teaching in an English Language Summer School when I graduated. I have a younger sister studying for her GCSEs at the moment and I often work with her on her essay writing skills to help her prepare for her exams.

Bachelors - Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
Linguistics is the scientific study of language, it has a strong focus on the English Language. To prepare for the Teaching English aspect, I learnt classroom management techniques, teaching techniques and also spent time volunteering as an English teacher. From my degree I have also developed my essay writing skills and presenting arguments and evidence, this is something I believe to be absolutely crucial in preparation for GCSE exams.
