I am a highly experienced class teacher and senior leader in Primary schools in a range of settings. I have taught in International schools across Asia, English academies and mainstream Primary schools here in central London.
I pride myself on building strong rapport with my students and through a growth mindset philosophy, I'll ensure your child doesn't just make improvements in key areas, they'll enjoy the process and take away learning behaviours and thought processes which will aid lifelong learning.
I have been teaching for over 15 years.
It began with a journey to South Korea to teach English which set my course as an educator. After a year, I did my PGCE and entered mainstream teaching in London. In the following five years, I taught in International schools in both Malaysia and Thailand for extended periods of time. Since my return, I have settled in a wonderful part of London and currently serve as an Assistant Headteacher in my school. Here I have gained numerous accolades for my school such as a PSQM (Primary School Quality Mark in Science), we underwent a positive OFSTED visit and I have recently passed my NPQSL (Senior Leadership Qualification). I am also studying to become a Senior Mental Health Lead SMHL in my school. I created my school's curriculum and have been implementing and overseeing its deployment across the school.
During lockdown, I set up and ran our remote provision, using MS Teams. I set up a book exchange and lunch deliveries to ensure our children were looked after and didn't lose too much ground in the pandemic.
I can facilitate small sessions with targeted focus groups of similar needs, enrichment sessions for talented individuals or small groups and tutoring one-on-one. I prefer face to face meetings but have strong ICT skills and can facilitate remote sessions.
