I am a Spanish Teacher with 10 years experience teaching in secondary schools and 4 years experience providing private tuition.  I have a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish and hold Qualififed Teacher Status (QTS) in England.  I have extensive experience teaching years 7 - 13 and am an examiner for the AQA speaking GCSE paper.  

I have studied and worked in the United States, Chile, Bolivia and Spain hence my Spanish is very well rounded as I have worked in both the Americas and Europe.

My approach to tutoring is: 1) discuss your personal goals for accquring a Spanish tutor, 2) assess your Spanish language skill development, 3) create a personalised plan that will enable you to develop your Spanish language skills so you can achieve your goals.

About Me

I am a U.S. American citizen who was a high school foreign exchange student to Chile for one year. I then went to university where I studied Spanish and Economics. After I obtained a bachelor’s degree, I joined the U.S. Peace Corps in Bolivia for two years where I worked with artisans in helping them develop a market for their handmade products. 

Following return to the U.S., I worked in charitable organisations that did out-reach with Spanish speaking communities.  After many years using my Spanish daily to help aid Spanish speaking people, I returned to university and achieved a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish.  

After marrying an Englishmen, I moved to England in 2013 and have been working as a secondary Spanish teacher in schools and providing private tuition since.  I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in both England and the USA.
