About Me

Learning and living alongside the violin has proved a passport in so many ways. As a portal to european and world musical heritage and culture, it has led to my living and studying for a year in Vienna, under the tuition of Barna Kobori, attending masterclasses in Cremona and Hamburg with Eszter Haffner and studying jazz violin with the cuban violinist, Omar Puente during my time at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The knowledge and experience I have received is blended along with the invaluable and ongoing guidance of Peter Poole, former member of the LPO and English Chamber Orchestra, throughout the last ten years.

I regularly perform recitals alongside the pianist Evelina Ndlovu, most recently including works by Brahms, Bartok and Piazzolla, and becoming a trio alongside the flautist Katrin Heymann. Repertoire for the coming season includes Martinu, Rota and Bach.

I love to teach, having previously been a teacher of piano at the International School of Music and Fine Arts in Prague and a private teacher in London and Paris. I am currently available to teach violin and piano via Skype lessons.

Services

Online Violin Lessons for all ages and levels

30 minute lessons at £18.00: Ideal for beginners and young learners. Alongside formal lesson books, I provide practice notes tailored to each student. I believe that making the learning process simple, vivid and relevant to students is vital to building strong technical and musical foundations, as well as for enjoyment. A simple example could be describing the violin bow moving in straight line like a lightsaber, if the student is a Star Wars fan! 

45 minute lessons at £27.00: Suited to intermediate students/Grade 3 - Grade 5/6. Alongside lesson notes, ahead of exams I will provide unique practice booklets tailored to you, with physical and mental warmups, breathing exercises etc. 
 

60 minute lessons at £35.00: Ideal for students of Grade 7/8 through to advanced. To help students achieve consistently high levels of practice and performance, it is vital that students learn to to teach themselves on the days without a lessons, so I strive to develop students' problem solving skills, and musical imagination and expression.

90 minute lessons at £50: For advanced, conservatoire/recital standard students. The extended lesson time allows for space to explore and study pieces and technique in more depth.
