I am an Oxford University Graduate and PGCE student. I predominantly teach History, Classical Civilisations, Ancient History and English!  I have worked as a private tutor and a secondary school teacher in a rural, high achieving, state school since September 2020. I have taught students from KS3 to A-Level. 

I am passionate about helping young people, of all skill sets, and providing them with the tools to achieve academically and otherwise. I believe it is vital to empower students to think independently and to become successful adults with critical thinking skills. 

About Me

Struggling with special educational needs at school myself, I fought hard to convince others of my academic potential and achieve straight A's and A*s. I then worked hard to gain a place at Oxford in 2017. I have studied there for the past three years achieving a 2:1, despite the coronavirus pandemic affecting my final exams.

I grew up in an immigrant family where the importance of education for personal and social progress was always highlighted to me and I became passionate about it myself, embarking on a PGCE this year. 

Outside of academia, I have extensive musical theatre and acting training and ran a large, for-profit, student theatre in 2019.

Currently working online only. I have experience in teaching gifted and talented students, as well as those with special needs. This experience means that I believe in tailor-made tutoring - classes based around the specific weaknesses and goals of the student, as identified by them or their parent/guardian. I always offer a free online consultation to assess whether I am the right fit for the student, prior to embarking on a course of teaching. 

I can help students with; Exam Technique, Essay Writing, Spelling and Grammar, Content Retrieval, Coursework, Motivation and Confidence issues.
